Lincoln Street Residence  Lunenburg, NS

Completion:
2010

Located in the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Old Town Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, this Lincoln Street home was built in 1890 and proudly overlooks the Lunenburg harbour.  The home owners sought to develop the attic space by adding two new dormers to the front facade of the home along with two narrow windows on the second floor, as well as a new front entry stair, and a new covered veranda at the rear. The plans passed Lunenburg's strict heritage by laws, and the work was completed in early 2010. This home is an example of how modern renovations can be kept sympathetic to the original heritage of the structure and surrounding residences.
